My name is Marcel Thijs and I have been diving for more than 25 years. What began as little drawings in my logbook, have now become full digital paintings about diving. All my works that is dive related, have been collected under the name DiveArt.

Autism vs Artism
At some moment I had a creative breakdown. No desire to draw en no inspiration or what soever came in to me. Then one day I saw my son drawing. The convenience in the way that he was shaping his imagination struck me. Unhindered by all these written and unwritten rules, no feelings of doubt or perfectionism, just the fun of drawing, I realised what I was lacking. I wanted to use my sons imagination and asked him if I could copy one of his drawings and redraw it in my style. Project Autism vs Artism was born, but why called it that?
